Winter of the Windswept Woodlands
As Named by Arroya
Malwuru
The Forest holds more than trees and spirits, for, in its center, stands a settlement, its houses, tepees and tribe hidden away from the world.
This village, Malwuru, has two groups of Warriors, united in times of war and friendly rivals in the long stretches of peace.
But all is not right; demons, The Afflicted, flit between the trees, each one stalking the weaknesses of Malwuru's people and they say the Dark Stag god, Ikelsa, is lost in His own forest...
The Longhouse (5 sub-boards) *You wander down through the settlement towards the river, the soft, sandy ground warming your bare feet. Though it is early morning, the Tribe is already awake and as you draw near the river, you see that The Longhouse - the meeting and discussion place for the settlement - is filled already with many familiar, gossiping faces that you decide to join.* Sub-Boards: OOC, Help, Requests, Adverts, Rules Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The Newcomers' Tent *A few unfamiliar-looking people are clustered outside a small tent. Here, newcomers are accepted and tribe members who have come of age are presented as adults.* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The Tribe (1 sub-board) *In the center of the Malwuru Tribe's lands and along the banks of the river, are great longhouses, tiny tents with cooking fires and blankets inside, teepees of fur and skin and birchbark houses, all blending into the greens, browns and earths of the forest. Outside a few of these homes, totem poles stand, telling of family victories, ancestors or perhaps mocking foes and rivals and throughout the village, a gentle babble of voices can be heard.* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The Market (3 sub-boards) *Towards the outskirts of the village, you find stalls and traders, all calling out prices and the items for sale.* Shields, boots, swords, everything! *Comes a shout from a nearby seller. With a few mountain eye gems to trade with in your pocket, you approach.* Moderators: Araigné Nahmana, Skaara Itanu
Festivals (1 sub-board) *In the heart of the village is a broad fire before a stone altar. Here, upon the stone, sacrifices are made to awaken Ikelsa, the Dark Stag, or to appease demons and spirits, and around the fire, dances and danced, songs and sungs and festivals are held.* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The Forest (1 sub-board) *The forest surrounds the Malwuru village and the Tribe lives off it. Deer and other prey dwell between the trees, while food and timber grow literally on the trees in the summer and harvest. And legend tells that, though the cursed demons, The Afflicted, attempt to haunt, tempt and lure away travelers, the Dark Stag, Ikelsa, can be found in the heart of the woodlands...* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The River (2 sub-boards) *The river is as much a part of the Tribe's life as the forest is. Every morning, water is drawn from it, fish are caught, clothes are washed, crops and livestock are watered. But it also holds more than water, for adventure, waterfalls, rapids and a lake in the middle of the forest can be found.* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The Mountain Paths *Travelers from Malwuru have left and never returned, or come back with tales of horror and wonder from the twin mountains that mark the borders of the forest and its Tribe and the vast lands beyond. You gaze upon the mist, mountains and mystery and remember this with a beating heart. A traveling bag is packed and an urge to wander tugging at your feet...* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana

The Warriors
The Barracks (3 sub-boards) *You take a narrow, dusty path through the trees beyond the village, headed for the barracks. Upon your arrival, you notice large groups of young men and women marked with the tattoos of training warriors, talking or practising combat outside.* Are you here to join us and become a warrior, or to practise your fighting skills? *You are asked.* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana
The Mahei Warriors (2 sub-boards) *The Mahei is the younger of the two Warrior groups within the Malwuru Tribe. With the hare and deer as its guardian animals, The Mahei favour speed and skill as oppose to strength and agression and is rival with The Ishkode in times of peace. However, when the Tribe is in times of danger, the two will unite to fight as one.* Moderator: Araigné Nahmana

Alligances (4 sub-boards) *On occasion, the leaders of the two rival Warrior groups meet to unite and organise competitions and quests for both. Members of each Warrior group may accompany their leaders to join in the friendly rivalry... ... you stand beside your fellow Warriors on one side of a vast fire, watching the group on the other side. At a signal from your leader, however, both sides mingle, talk and laugh about former arguments.* Moderators: Araigné Nahmana, Tokori Nahmana, Shaufan Tie'letie
